Our privacy policy

The Wellington Community Justice Project (WCJP) is an agency that retains private information, principally personal information about our volunteers. As such, we have a duty to follow the principles outlined in s 22 of the Privacy Act 2020.

If it is necessary for the information to be given to a person or agency associated with a service of the WCJP, all reasonable steps will be taken to prevent unauthorised use or unauthorised disclosure of the information.

Personal information obtained in connection with one purpose shall not be used for any other purposes  unless we believe it is reasonable to do so under circumstances prescribed in the Privacy Act 2020.

We do not disclose your personal information to any person, body or agency unless we believe it is reasonable to do so under circumstances prescribed in the Privacy Act 2020.

Your Rights to Access

We are happy to provide you with access to personal information we hold about you.

You may lodge a request for correction to the information through our Privacy Officer.
