Volunteer Agreement
As a registered charity and incorporated society, we have high expectations of our student volunteers, and our volunteers and partner organisations have a high expectation of us. We established a WCJP-wide Volunteer Agreement in 2017.
Our Expectations
Volunteers are expected to act in a respectful and professional manner when representing the Wellington Community Justice Project.
We endeavour to provide proper training necessary for any roles a volunteer may fulfil on behalf of our organisation, and regularly support volunteers in their role.
Volunteers are expected to follow policies and procedures relevant to the role they undertake, such as equal opportunities, health and safety, and confidentiality.
Volunteers are expected to meet mutually agreed expectations around their role, such as the amount of time the role is expected to take and the quality of work they are to produce.
All volunteers must read and agree to a Volunteer Agreement in order to begin volunteering with us. No need to sign and return – so long as you are aware of their obligations to us, and our obligations to you. We are excited to have you on board!
